Tourists for a Day

When some guests  came from Dhaka we had a chance to do the tourist-thing.  There's a town called Phuthia about a half-hour drive from us.  Our landlord generously arranged two cars to take us so we had a truly relaxing, enjoyable outing.

As Lonely Planet Guide put it,  "the delightful village of Puthia is positively bursting at the seams with different delapidated palaces and bewitching temples...

If Putiya were in almost any other country the ruins here would be seething in camera-snapping tourists, but lost as it is in the remote paddy fields of Bangladesh, you'll have it all to yourself"
I got out my camera and snapped away.  The structures, textures, and weathered look make it a photographer's delight.

And then there's that ever-ready cup of chai waiting for you at the end.  Come visit and we'll take you there!
